Someday I'm definitely going to visit! =D I just don't know when that is. >_<;
"A Conversation with God" - Darren Hayes
I just realized half of the songs I like to listen to have the word "god" in them, and the song is never religious...kind of the opposite in most cases. xD

Here is another "God" one for ya, Mushy if you care to check it out. It is one of my all time favorites and one that helped shape some of my (dis)beliefs.

I didn't like the beginning of that song, but I like it after the beginning. :3
You remember that quiz about which gay are you? And you ended up being Darren Hayes? It was something like that on facebook. xD
Glad you like that song! =D It's one of his good ones. I loved Savage Garden (also a duo) when he was in it. But after they disbanded...well, Darren Hayes wasn't so good on his own, but he's starting to get good now, I think. x)

Oh, I was wondering who he was and how you had heard of him. That makes sense, then.
I don't really remember what my result was on that quiz. I do recall it was someone I had never heard of.
"Dear God" was a very important song in my life. I am not wild about the kids' singing, but the words are very profound to me. Actually, in context, it isn't quite what it seems. The album it is from, "Skylarking", is a sort of "Life In One Day" album. It centers around this couple that had known each other since childhood, grew up together, got married, and she died before he did. "Dear God" is the culmination of his grief and anger. The song that follows it up almost retracts the whole thing. But I find that on it's own, it is quite powerful.

"Breathless" - Yuki Kajiura
Well originally I heard Savage Garden on the radio and fell in love with them back when I was 10. =) It's amazing...14 years later, and I'm still listening to the remnants of the band.
Aw, that's actually really sad to find out. ;-; But I think it's a really good song once you get past the beginning. =)

Nothing wrong with that. I have some that have been favorites for 20 years or more. Music is funny...there are some bands that come and go as faves, and some that resonate so deeply that they stay with you a lifetime. The Beatles are like that for me. I may not listen to them everyday, but they have been faves for - ooooohhhhhh - maybe 33 years or so. Maybe longer. Seems when other kids were singing "The wheels on the bus go round and round...." I was singing, "You say you want a revolution....weeeelllll...you know....we all wanna change the world." Somewhere in NC - Raleigh, I think - some kid got in serious trouble for playing "Dear God" over the intercom system at school. It wasn't so much that he played anything over it, but - this being North-fucking-Carolina-home-of-Billy-Graham - it was the subject material of the song that everyone found insulting. (Which really should be heard in context.) There is so much shit that kids do to get in trouble, but this is so minor. If I remember, he was suspended for a few days. (Which I never understood HOW this is a punishment. No school? Oh B-O-O-H-O-O.) I - naturally - was on the kids' side. I forgot why he did it. This was a long time ago. Now listening to my friend Beth cackle while she is guessing answers on the "How Well Do You Know Chris?" quiz at FaceBook. (Yes, she is on one 'puter, I am on the other and she is on the couch next to the couch I am on.)

Yup, I have loved some bands for years. Though I'm only 24 but I'm sure in several more years that won't change. That's sad. And LOL suspension. I always laugh at that too. If anything, the worst thing they could do was FORCE the kid to go to school. xD Oh I didn't catch that quiz! That's hilarious though. Sounds like you're having fun! (Or were, since that was posted yesterday.) "You Can Hear the Cry of the Planet" - Nobuo Uematsu

There is a link for the quiz on my profile. (No pressure!) She did alright on it, then I took hers and failed epically. And we have known each other about 3 years! (But it was superficially. It hasn't been until recently that we have been really talking.) "Do It Again" - The Kinks
