Where would you go? What would you want to witness for yourself? Stop #1 - Monterey Pop Festival June 16 - 18, 1967 Monterey, CA I would give anything to witness firsthand the breakout performances of Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix. I always say I was born too late. Stop #2 - Abbey Road Studios June 1972 - January 1973 Project - Dark Side Of The Moon To watch the creation of one of the greatest albums of all time from start to finish would be a dream come true. I was watching the Classic Albums series on VH1 about it and it was said that Clare Torry felt her performance on Great Gig In The Sky was awful. (Although I just now read that she sued them for a writing credit and won. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Dark_Side_of_the_Moon) I'd be there to smack her! That whole thing is classic. Hard to believe that was done in one take. There are more, but I have taken too much time making this post.

That's a good question, I'm trying to think of a good answer...
Trip 1: When Apollo first landed on the moon back in 1969, and to see when Apollo 13 got in to trouble what the atmosphere was like.
I think that's it, maybe something else will come to me, who knows?!

Hi trecaa! Welcome aboard!
Those are some awesome choices. I am a space nut and would give anything to experience the weightlessness. Another good one would be when Kennedy made the speech about going to the moon. That would have been neat to see firsthand.

*scratches head* I don't think I'd care too much about seeing any historical event, or maybe I just can't think of anything right now. But I would love to go back to this one day years ago when I used to stay with my grandparents for about three days every week over the summer holidays. It took me years to learn to ride a bike (I kid you not! ), but when I did learn, I used to cycle all around the area they lived (well, my granddad still lives there. Sadly my grandmother died around ten years ago). It was a quiet area. Their bungalow was in a quiet cul-de-sac. A lovely area. A short ride away from the bungalow was a busier road, and on the other side there were fields. I remember one time the crops in the field were this golden brown colour, and I had cycled up there one evening. There was a gorgeous sunset and the warm glow over that field was absolutely stunning. I wish I had a camera back then, but no photo could have done it justice. It was a beautiful view, and I really would love to be able to see something like that again. <3

Sounds very idyllic and serene. One of the most beautiful things I have ever seen was after a particularly fiece and violent thunderstorm we had here about 14 years ago. (With a tornado not far from where I was at the time. ) After the rain slowed, there was a double rainbow, both arcs as brilliant as could be with a third, very faint, arc behind them and the clouds were gold. I will never forget that and have not seen anything like it since. I'd love to go back to that day. And, same here, no camera. It took me a long time to ride a bike, too. I have lousy balance anyway, and that didn't help matters at all. But - also like you, Kisrah - once I learned, I was all over the place!

It was. Just a shame about the traffic really. ^^; I can't remember the last time I saw a sunset like that. I love them. Oh wow! We don't get weather that bad here, but rainbows are pretty. LOL! We have those at least. Years ago we had a triple one, like the one you described. VERY faint third arc. No gold clouds though. WOW! My craziest rainbow experience was in 2001 though. It was insane. I was on a kind of work experience with the Broads Authority, and everyone doing a placement with them would be picked up from outside their office in Norwich. We used to go along open countries roads to get to the offices near Acle. I'll never forget one day there was a rainbow about on the way there. We saw the end of the rainbow. It was right in front of us, with the end trailing in the fields. We were driving after this rainbow! It was crazy. And yeah. No camera. ;o; There wasn't any gold either. Dang leprechauns! >.< THEY LIE! Hmm. Speaking of lousy balance, I'd like to go back to the day I finally managed to stay upright on my bike. Well, just about. I learned in a field not far from my grandparents. There's a playground area there. Swings. Seesaw. Roundabout. Some climbing frame there too. The roundabout was still slowly spinning. Probably I'd been on it at some point. We VERY rarely saw any other kids around there. I somehow ended up cycling right into it, fell over and got dragged half away around with the bike's front wheel still in contact with the roundabout! xD I'd like to go back just to experience that again. I actually found it funny. ^^;

The roundabout? Haha. Nah it was fine really. All the playground stuff had this soft, foam like padding under it, so I didn't land on concrete or anything when I fell.
Yes they are!
Hmm. This one's a bit silly, but I want to go back to the time when I was out with my dad and we stopped at this roadside cafe.
Hey! They made really good egg and chips! ^^; Oh great I made myself hungry...

I can relate to that. The first time I went to Chicago, my friends, Jodi, Chris and I had these amazing cheese blintzes at a deli in the Sears Tower. I'd love to go back just for those. I haven't had any that good since.

Yeah don't you hate it when you find good food, and then nothing else seems to compare to that? D:
Well I've got chips anyway. Just need to get myself some eggs!
I'd also like to go back for the fĂȘtes my first school used to have. There used to be popcorn that you could have salted or sugared. I always had sugared. It was so good! And the whole thing was fun of course!
