No, I am not an athlete. I love my Chi-Cubs, but just to watch. However, I do like to play board games. My favorites are Trivial Persuit, (Any version. I have so many it isn't funny), Life, Monopoly, Backgammon, Therapy and Scrabble. I have a rock trivia game that is cool, but the questions are way out of date and easy.
I like some card games, but not many. Hearts, Rummy and Phase 10 are about it. Cards just don't do it for me.

Ahhhh, not played Connect 4 in ages. I am so bad at it, but it is fun. Monopoly...that is a weakness for sure. I even used to play it by myself when there was no one else around.

Heh. I'm not really a board game fan. ^^; Closest I get to playing board games is the Mario Party series. xD It's a computer game series, but they are based on board games. Good fun. I do like Connect 4 though. I have a little travel set around somewhere, although I get the feeling it was probably thrown out at some point. I also had a travel set of draughts. That was a weird little thing. It looked like it was in a CD case! O.O The only other games I can think of that I like are Trivial Pursuit (I luffs some trivia!) and Articulate. This game is hilarious with the right group of people!

What is draughts? I am not familiar with that.
Articulate sounds like my kind of game. I also want to try Balderdash.

I think you'd know it as checkers? It's a checker board where you play with black and white pieces, and each player has to try and get to the other side of the board. Pieces move diagonally, and you take the other player's pieces by jumping over them, until eventually one player has no pieces left. Any piece that makes it to the opposite end can be "crowned" by any pieces your opponent took from you. Yep it's really fun. And I've heard of Balderdash, but never played it. Sounds like a good game though.

Yep, that is checkers alright. Funny how there are different names for the same things.
I have another game called Therapy that is part trivia and part - well - bare your soul in a way. It helps when you know the people you are playing with pretty well because you have to guess what they will answer on some questions, but it is more fun when you don't know them. It is also a good ice breaker. It doesn't get too personal, which is good. It is mainly things like, "So, your name here, tell me what kind of bread do you prefer?" (Well, that isn't really one, but it is close enough to the nature of the questions.) Even my stepfather used to like this game and he didn't like anything.

I think it's one of those British English vs American English things.
I love how you call flip-flops "thongs". Over here a thong is what you probably know as a g-string. xD
Oh that sounded like one I'd be scared of! >.< But if it's not too personal that's okay. ^^

Let's see, in the Southern US we call "thongs" "flip-flops" too. I am not sure what they say in the Northern, Northwestern or Western parts. "Thongs" can also refer to "G-Strings", but not sure if that is also regional. In the Southern US, we refer to drinks like Coke and Pepsi as "Soda", and in the Midwest, (like Michigan, Ohio, etc), it is called "Pop". I always thought that was weird. In Wisconsin, (and as far as I know this is the only state that does this), a water fountain, (the kind you drink from), is called a "Bubbler". I love British English. On another board I used to post on, my British friends had the greatest phrases. I wish I could recall some. I wish American English was as brilliant.
