I didn't have a lot of time when I posted the first one, but since I am home sick as a dog, I'll tell you a little more about this guy. www.that1guy.com/ This is his official page for your browsing pleasure. I had the pleasure of seeing him live with Buckethead about a year or so ago, but the pictures I took were involved in the great hard drive meltdown of my last computer, so I have them no more.  (Disclaimer: The venue I saw them at, The Orange Peel, allows cameras without flash unless the artist requests otherwise.) I can vouch that this is no special effect, he is actually playing a boot that has somehow been modified. He also has a saw that he plays. Enjoy. (This is not my video, it was posted by dreampepper as was the first video. I forgot to give credit on it. My apologies.) |

That's some interesting stuff. I was able to find a Wiki article about him. That instrument must be unique to him then. Clever, and he gets a pretty good sound out of it too!  |

Ooohhh, thanks for finding that! *Slaps self on forehead* That's right, he called it the Magic Pipe at the show. He built it himself, which is amazing. I'm lucky if I can build a decent sandwich!  |

LOL...welcome to that club. One thing I forgot to mention, and I can't find video of, is in addition to all the weird sounds he can get out of that pipe, he occasionally has smoke come out of the top of it. He didn't do that when I saw him live, but I have seen video a while back. (Now where did I put that video? I am always losing things!  ) |
