Hi, I'm Chris. [obligatoryresponse] Hi Chris![/obligatoryresponse] I am a musicholic. (And, as we all know, admission is the first step to recovery.) ;D I was born in Hampton, VA at Langley AFB on 04/22/68 but was raised in Western NC from the age of 1. I've been here almost all my life, the exception being the 6 1/2 years I spent in FL. (1995 - early 2002.) I currently work for a medical newsletter. I take orders for this newsletter. No, I'm not medically trained! Being an ER junkie is about the extent of my training. Some things I like to do are read, write, be a TV slug, watch movies, ride roller coasters, travel and go to concerts. I am not the most exciting person you will ever meet, but I have a good sense of humor, (though some would say morbid), and have a good heart. Life is too short to waste on things like hate and anger. I try to incorporate as little of both as possible in my life. I look forward to meeting anyone that may cross this little path of the interwebz!

OK, I am Alex. I've known Chris a long time. I enjoy pretty much the same things she does. People sometimes mistake us for siblings, but we're just friends. The main difference between us is I don't really care for Penn And Teller. Chris just about idolizes them. I'd tell you my job, but then I'd have to kill you.

hey hey
I particularly love the more obscure bands from the 'sweet spot' of the 80's (which, ironically is from around 1977 to 1987 for me) - a few favorites:
> Wax > Prefab Sprout > Force 10 > P.M. > China Crisis > Bourgeois Tagg > David & David > City Boy > The Planets
I'm almost exclusively a fan of the 'deep album tracks', but there are many notable hit singles that continue to impress... even all these years on:
> Saved By Zero - The Fixx > Only The Lonely - The Motels > Something About You - Level 42 > Save A Prayer - Duran Duran > Only Time Will Tell - Asia
...just to name a few
(and yeah, Chris - I even remember ebn-ozn ;D )

Hello there ghostworks and welcome aboard! Glad to have you here. The 80's were awesome for music. "Saved By Zero" is one of my all time favorite songs. I hated it when it first came out, but it grew on me and now The Fixx is a favorite. Just jump in make yourself at home.
