Peter - "Boy, I haven't had a concussion this bad since 1984. Remember the time I was in EBN OZN?"
Flashback
Peter - "All I'm saying is that maybe you should consider putting a couple of consonants in the verse. Why should it be all vowels? Isn't that discrimination?"
OZN - "Man, you are dumb. That isn't the point of it at all."
Peter - "Well, you must be dumb... because I don't, I don't see why vowels are so special."
OZN slaps his hand on his forehead and groans as EBN sneaks up behind Peter and whacks him over the head with the computer keyboard that is on the cover of Feeling Cavalier. Peter is lying in a heap on the ground, unconscious.
OZN - "Ned, I think we better get out of here...quick."
EBN nods and they get in Peters' car and drive off.
OK, so it isn't really that funny, but I am sure the staff could come up with something better.
I have wondered if there are some vague references made to them on there. One of the most obscure ones is when Lois takes over the direction of the play "The King And I" and makes Peter a producer. I can't recall the exact line, but the musical "Marlowe" was mentioned. Robert Rosen played the role of Ingram Frizer in the 1981 stage version of "Marlowe". (Source - www.ibdb.com/production.php?id=4858) That could easily be a coincidence, but there have been a couple others.
In the one where Stewie meets his half brother the 2nd time, (post-birth), Stewie says something about hating him as much as the rest of the vowels hate "Y". (See video clip here.....thecadmusproject.com/2008/09/02/family-guy-aeiouand-sometimes-y/) Again, could be just coincidental.
Then there is the one where Neil and Meg are interns at Channel 5. Neil is on top of a building threatening to jump. The news team heads out, and someone says something about Neil. Tom Tucker says, "His name is Neil? I've been calling him Ned."
Those are the 3 that stick in my mind. There is actually one more possible reference, but that is really stretching things, and I don't quite trust my source on this, so I won't say what it is. But if I can verify this, then I'll post it and let everyone decide for themselves. It almost seems a bit more than coincidental, but what do I know? I could be seeing what I want to see.
