I just learned that a friend of mine passed away on Easter. I haven't seen or talked to him in quite a while, but I think of him often. Bill was a true gentleman, kind, generous, a little on the quiet side but had a great sense of humour. He was originally from Texas, but lived in Ashland, Oregon. We became friends on a message board that I used to visit often, but met in person in March of '06 in Vegas. We had a blast, riding the Big Shot, Speed and the monorail together. After riding the Big Shot, we sat at a table at the top of the Stratosphere and had a great conversation about his hikes in the Grand Canyon, his memories of seeing Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix live, (which I was so jealous of!), and life in general. He was a thoughtful and philosophical sort, and a true hippie at heart. I will truly miss you my dear friend.
